The flights from Southampton were run by BOAC who later became British Airways.

Flying boat used in Indiana Jones which was actually on dry land with only one engine working.

The shot was achieved by putting a scaffolding jetty alongside the plane, painting in the surrounding buildings and filming water separately. Once all together the shot worked beautifully. We may well be able to achieve something like this.
